Around here the motorcycle cops wear generic white 3/4 helmets. From what I've read the majority of forces are phasing in, or have plans to phase in modular helmets because of the increased safety. They are already SOP in the UK and across Europe. When I was in London I noticed the cops there also wear leather motorcycle track pants with knee/hip padding as part of their uniform.

 

When the weather is warm I wear a white half-helmet. My bike is a retired FLHPI. I actually think the combo makes for a safer ride. People are always on the look out for LEOs, if that helps them to see me, all the better.

Of course, when they see my beard and Hawaii shirt, they know I'm not a cop.
