2 up camping - suggestions
#31
When my son and I go on our road trips, I put tools and camping supplies (back pack lantern, camp towels, clothes line, foldable cooler, bug spray, etc.) in one saddle bag, most of our clothes and toiletries in the other saddle bag (this may not work if you take your wife), and the rest of our camping gear (cook stove, stove fuel, cooking supplies, one sleeping bag) and additional clothes in the tour pak. I placed our tent, sleeping pads, an additional 8 x 10 foot tarp, and one sleeping bag in another bag and strapped it to the tour pak rack. Seeing as I have a Memphis Shades Batwing, I was able to place our rain gear above the nacelle (as seen in the photo).
However you decide to pack your bike, I suggest you practice loading it at home (keeping the heaviest items as low as possible) and take it for some test rides to get the feel of it before you leave on your trip.
