Just bought a 2002 Road King Classic (my first HD), havent even picked it up yet but was thinking about the fact that it has a tachometer and was wondering if a windshield can be used with it. It looks like it might be in the way of a shield attaching on, has anyone had this issue before? Was thinking maybe could notch out the bottom of a shield to make it fight. I attached a picture for reference.

Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance!

 

I put the 2 5/8" HD tach on a new 03 roadking, put it on the handlebar cover with the HD billet mount and the windshield cleared it fine. Gonna do the same with an 11 RKC I just bought.

 

Here are some pics of schv's set up. He says you can still fit the windshield on but NO windshield bag.

 

Yep. Stock Police RK has a tach and windshield.

 

They are right, Shield fits but you can not have a bag.
