I would have to say the rineharts are a little louder but not by a whole lot, the 4" bassani's seem to have a lower pitch to them. I think that kinda holds true when compairing 3.5" muffs to the 4". I would put either of them on my bike and be happy, it just so happened that I found a deal on the rineharts.

I'm after Bassanis myself (09 RK), but it will be different for you since you have the cats in the headpipes.

I have the 3.5" Rineharts on my 09 and love the sound. You need to compare the slip-ons you want to other bikes with cat, may affect sound tremendously. I would also recommend a little help from Jamie at Fuelmoto and you will be happy.

I put a set of Sampson true duals on my 2004 RK Custom. (see sig pic below)

They sounded fine, a little stately but low rumble. Then I went down on the bike, damaged the left side rear, and discovered that Sampson stopped making the pipes I had on the bike. So needed a set of new slip-ons to fit onto the Sampson true duals.

After some listening, went with ThunderHeaders. I like the sound, it's a pretty deep rumble, they're not "****-off-the-neighbors" loud if you stay off the twist, but you can make them scream if you want to.

Worth checking into, IMHO.

I have basanni mufflers on V-H dual headers. They sounded just like what I wanted until I changed headers and put in SS555 cams. Now I think it is a bit too loud for my tastes- kinda looking for something else with a deeper tone.
