Default Rain and how fast??

I was just wondering how fast everyone rides in moderate rain. I personally slow down to around 50 -55 on the interstate. Slowing down any more than and 50 I feel like I might get ran over.

Also, last year I had a issue with rain and my goggles fogging up. Any recommendations for goggles in the rain?

I do slow some and a bit more cautious with lane changes and turns. How much I slow depends on the road and traffic at the given time.

I ride at a speed I feel comfortable and safe with. A lot depends on type of road surface and conditions. I do prefer to keep a vehicle in sight and observe for rain/water hidden road hazards, following in a tire track.

I stay with the flow of traffic, if there is any. Sometimes speeding up will help blow the rain over my head, sometimes slowing down will take the sting out of the drops.

On my way home today from work and did around 60 on the open highway. I forgot my balaclava, but had my Frog Toggs gear in my saddlebag. Definitely had to tuck behind the windshield to keep the 394,578,923,976 bee stings (rain drops) off my face.

Got to my last stop sign in the neighborhood, just around the corner from the house and locked up the back tire. Had a little slippy slide from left to right, but nothing unrecoverable. Slow the eff down.....and early.

It's been a while since I'd ridden in the rain.

I just got caught a couple weeks ago and the speed limit was from 55mph to 70 mph and that's what I usually ran, bike felt good and solid, now I will slow down to a decent speed on a curvy rd but if it's a good rd and it's not coming a flood I'll roll on.

If you do 50 around here you will end up being a greasy spot on the highway. I try to stay with the flow of traffic, but sometimes I just have to get off of the main drag and take the scenic route.

There is some stuff you can put on your goggles to keep them from fogging up, but I cannot think of the name of it right now. Can probably find it at wal-mart.

Same here. I jump off the interstate and go the back roads.

Depends on how hard it's raining, and the flow of traffic. Usually when it first starts I slow down more, (wate for some of the oil to lift off the road) but if it's heavy and I know I'm going to be in it for awhile, I try to pick a vehicle to stick with and be far enough behind so I can see where puddles may be forming, etc.
