D&d fat cats hitting
#11
Can you go in to some detail about the tune?
HERE's my thread from a while ago showing how the brake rubbed into the Fatcat and wore down the lever where the pin is...........rubbed almost all the way through the pipe. D&D had to give me another pipe. Now my current pipe is at the machine shop because the 02 sensor bungs are not deep enough to allow the sensors to sit properly in the exhaust flow and it is causing havoc with me attempting to tune it with the TTS. Personally, I'm not all too happy with "Leonard" and his statements he has made about certain things. I still have an issue with them sitting too close and I had to put spacers behind the bracket that attaches to the transmission to push the pipe out and away from brake lever and pin.

If you do take the pipe off for any reason, I strongly suggest having the 02 bungs looked at. It's a shame that a major company like D&D hasn't stepped up and 1) put a recess in the area of the brake lever/pin and 2) reconfigured their 02 bungs. Their pipe is a great pipe and you would think they would go the extra step here.

It's not only a issue with your pipe, I had the same issue with my rush exhaust and revolution performance tuner. Had to send pipe back to revolution to have 02 bungs rewelded for the same reason you did, Was told not in far enough, Pipe was ceramic coated inside and out and now voids warranty, Someone needs to step up to plate the exhaust makers or the tuners and warn people of this. Not to happy had to cut new pipe up but happy with the end results as far as the performance of the bike goes.
