Smile 1" lower front = new kickstand????

I have lowered my 09 S G 1" in the rear and am considering lowering the front forks by 1". I believe i have seen on this forum that if i do, i will have to change my kickstand . If this is true please tell why and where and how much will the new stand cost. Does it ever end this $$$$$ thing?

Thanks

You can change your kickstand as well. I did but it didn't really help. Got the Ness 1" shorter kickstand.

I went 2" lower, front and rear on my 2000 RK. No problems or stability issues from my stock kickstand. I wouldn't change it out unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. :-)

I also lowered my road king 1" in the rear and 1.5" in the front, no problems when I park it.

The way Harley made the jiffy stand bracket for the mid 09s to present doesn't allow the bike to lean over as far as before because folks where complaining about it being difficult to stand the bike up - off the stand.

i lowered my rear on my 2007 flhx myself then took it to the local shop to do the front and he talked me out of it. I once lowered the front and rear on a fatboy and you could not ride it without the frame hitting the ground (it was scary ); so think out it before u do it.
