I'm down to just the swing arm now. If it helps anyone, don't disassemble the clutch pack unless you want to inspect the clutches. Mine are all still in spec and I'm adding a S.E. diaphram spring and S.E. compensator while in there.
Well, finally done. New drive belt, SE compensator, SE clutch diaphram spring, tires, brake pads, rotors and wheel bearings. Took about two short days, 10 hours total labor, and a day, 5 hours, chasing parts. Clutch pads well with in specs however found one steel plate where it shouldn't have been. Corrected that. Went with a slightly larger rear tire, mu85B16. Did a drive way run and all seems well. Will try a highway test tomorrow. It's beer time. Never worked on a Harley before. Always had Limey bikes. All seems well. The work shop manual definitely stopped me from making some mistakes and spotted the clutch plate out of position. Used a Harbor Freight lift and C clamped the frame to the lift. Saved some major problems when removing and installing tires. Major weight shifts.
