I wear a size 14 EEEE and have no problem with the heel toe set up. In fact I even put heel toe on my Deuce. Get used to it and youll love it. And by the way, Sportie to a touring? Your gonna think you died and went to heaven.

Do you guys who ride floorboards get use to the heel shift? Maybe even prefer it? I found it akward??!!
If that was your only problem with the RK whats stopping you?
Remember what dyna07custom said
Just buy it before she changes her mind

Toe is easy to adjust and it's not real hard to take off the heel. I got 900 miles on my new RK and my heel shifter is coming off soon, for me it's just in the way.

Once I got used to it, I liked it better than just the toe shifter. Your toe stays in contact with the foot board when upshifting with the heel, for me it seems more stable, less foot motion when jammin through the gears, less motion influencing handling, Give it a chance you might like it.

just traded my 06 Sportster 1200L last month for 2010 RGC and didn't care for the heel/toe at first. Happy to say that 1400 miles later I'm used to it and liking it.

I hadn't ridden with a heel shifter before my Road King but now I love it and miss it on my Sportster. What you may want to consider for the size 13s, instead of getting rid of the heel shifter, replace it with a longer lever.
I've extended my floorboards out 3/4" from the bike with Soos extenders and extended the rear shifter by an inch and the front shifter bya half inch to make more room on the floorboards.

I like my boots a lot more than I dislike shifting with the heel shifter. Took me like 5 minutes to get used to it.

I love the heel shifter and never found a problem with room since I rarely have my feet all the way on the boards. Usually hanging about halfway off and that is with floor board extenders.
The only time I am tucked in is when it's cold or raining.

Heel shifter is easily removable. I took mine off and never looked back.

It's only one of those thing you will have to get use to. All of my touring motorcycles have had a heel/toe shifter and whouldn't have anything else.
