Sick To My Stomach (cruise control)

That green connector is a PITA. The CVO models don't have the green connector and I'm fairly certain are internally wired, so the MOCO probably acknowledges it don't work internally wiring with that connector very well.[/quote]
The CVO TBW is for sure the way to go. comes with long wires that do not have the Green connector. Just under $100 and well worth it.

Trouble shooting
From the electrical service manual.
I recommend that anyone who ever works on their own bike to buy one of these!!!!
Kill switch in run position
Hold cruise to set position
Turn on ignition
Cruise light on speedometer should be green
Release set on cruise light should be red
If it stays green you have a switch problem or pinched wire
if it is red make the other switches one at a time
all the following should turn the light green
set
resume
front brake
rear brake
clutch
throttle roll forward

Not true. The same happened to me and many others I have conversed with on this forum and another after trying to internally wire with that damn connector in there. The green clip only latches on one side, which allows for some separation of the clip if it gets bound up trying to pull it thru the bars. Just as your molex plug wasn't connecting to one wire that clip opening just a little does the same thing.

It's not the brake switch. I wedged it open when I removed the cluster from the bars. Also, I checked the light when I reassembled everything. I'm pretty sure the green connector mentioned by "hullhorr" is the problem (now that he mentioned it) but I'm going to give "vzts4q" suggestion first...it's easier than dissasembling the controls. Thanks.

You could have just busted the little cruise button when you put the handle bar housing back together. When I swapped my bars, that is what happened to me. I overtightened the assemble and broke the little relay button, which took forever and a day to figure out. Lucky, I figured that out before I undid the handle bars and started pulling wires.
