Need some advice from the forum.I want to replace my stock air cleaner cover w/a new HD air cleaner cover.The same style as the old one but in vivid black.My old one has the "notch"at the top.The new one I want to buy is on page #764,part#29585-03DH in the 2011 HD parts and accessories book.Problem is next to part # it states "without notch",and no mention of a "notched" one.
Will this air cleaner cover (without notch) fit my bike? Is it they don't make the "notched" one anymore.I'm not clear on this.I also attempted to get an answerfrom the dealership I was going to order it from and they could'nt answer my question.Can anybody advise me on this.Thanks to all.

 

Well to update things I just checked my bike and air cleaner cover in question,and it's not the cover that has the notch,it's the back plate that has the notch.Anyway,I could still use a little help re.this.I now think that the part the book shows is the right part,but would still like to hear from anyone who knows for sure.Thanks.

 

Put a S.E. high flo kit on it then the notch wont matter and the bike will run better, If it has a notch put it on the bottom.
