The cost for a "DYNO Tune"...
Good day, Riders.
Due to limited access to companies that can do this work; and before agreeing to have my bike Dyno’ed by an Independent, I thought I would ask those who have had this work done for input.
The cost of $1K is what the Indy wants to charge me for installing a "TTS Master Tune" and spending about a day mapping the bike characteristics. This is on a stock 103 cu inch.
If I change air box and mufflers; a second retune according to him will be significantly cheaper; however, that cost wasn't identified.
My question; “is $1K too much money for the initial dyno and tuner?”
Thanks for the input....

I beg to differ here. All bikes are different. Just because you get a quick tune doesn't make it any better than a tune that takes 5 hours. I have seen the results of a 45 minute dyno tune by someone that had little knowledge of tuning....I paid around $350 for my tune that took 4 hours. If I would have purchased the tuning device from them, then my grand total would have been somewhere around $600. Not bad IMO....

My Experience is somewhat the same.
I got a PCIII $400 and Tuning $350
After the tuning if I make any significant mods I was told future tunes would be much cheaper but depending on the mods.
