I just had my rear fender re-painted. What can I use to protect it from getting screwed up when I put the passenger pad on. The passenger pad will only be on very occasionally. My original fender had all kinds of marks leftover from the stock HD seat.
Thanks
I have seen those leather pads that go on the fender when the pillion seat is off. It is at least a good cover if there are blemishes on the paint and they do look nice.
Harley sells a clear protective film I think they are around 15 bucks. You will still notice it up close but any thing you put on the fender you will see when the seat is removed.

Thanks,
As long as paint doesn't get the black marks. I'm guessing the film can be replaced.
I've got a 8 year old FLHTI. I've quit trying to keep it a showbike and let the natural wear and tear marks show it's sign of use. Damage gets repaired but normal wear and tear gets lived with. Nobody mistakes it for a garage/trailer queen.
