I've lowered the front end of all 5 Touring bikes I've had. Used the $100 HD kit every time with the Screamin' Eagle fork oil to stiffen it up a little. Never noticed any ill-handling.

For those of you who have done the drop. Do you ride solo or two up. I usually ride two up with my wife and wonder if the extra weight might make a difference .

Usually two-up on my Road King. I have other bikes for solo use. Still handles real nice.

I don't ride 2 up much, but I haven't noticed any difference when I do.

Lowered the front over 2 inches with the progressive drop in kit. Dirty job but others have talked about it. I'll just add to the fact that i haven't seen an issue at all with performance. Do suggest that you pay attention to the stand though. It will sit almost straight up and turn the front full right you better keep an eye on it or it will go over. Just shim it or get a new stand (not the Ness 1" shorter stand. Not really shorter at all).
