Default anyone get new bike for less then msrp?

Hey all,
Im ready to add a Road glide Ultra to the stable and been looking for a dealer that will sell for less than msrp. My local dealers will knock off set-up and freight but wont budge on price. Dont really care to get all bling goodies or discounts, just want a cheaper bike. I would be willing to fly one-way and ride home of coarse

The dealership I bought from did at about $400 under but it wasn't a Road Glide, it was a Electra Glide Ultra Limited.
Bud's Harley Davidson in Evansville, IN
Sales tax are 7%. Not sure how that compares to where you're at.

I don't think what you might save at a particular dealer would be enough to cover the cost of a plane ticket. I have bought my last 2 bikes under MSRP, a 2010 Classic and a 2011 Limited Ultra. I got about $400 under on my 11 Limited with no set up fee's or any other fee's but that was the middle of winter in Kansas. Your best bet might to be to wait for the 2012 bikes to come out and get a deal on a 2011 bike. It's riding season now and bikes wont be going cheap

I tried and tried some more and they would never move on the price, just kept adding gift cards and free goodies....In the end I got a $1500.00 gift card, the first service free. and two (count them two) t-shirts....... Oh ya whose the man...... But I was happy with the deal and they paid off my 2010 Honda trade in so that helped too..

My brother-in-law got some off MSRP on a 2010 Ultra in Quincy Il. He paid $20,500 but that was after the 2011 were out.

I bought under msrp but like someone else said, I don't think it would be cost effective to buy a plane ticket and I'd probably pay extra at the local dealer to avoid riding a bus to save money.

Don't know where you are in MD but Neidengard's HD in Wintersville, OH is a good place to start. John Neidengard has sold bikes to people all over the country, his deals can be that good. I have gotten 4 from him. And you wouldn't need to fly.

You all heard that the touring bike production is going to be cut due to a lack of electronics from Japan, right? Are you sure that the price for last years model will drop like it normally does? Personally, would a few hundred dollars keep me off a bike for weeks of months? How much is a week long rental?: Just thinking...

I bought my 2011 fatboy lo for less that msrp. I paid $16,600 out the door with tax, title and license. Talk to Scott (owner) of Clinton HD in clinton, IA, they've given me great deals after the sale. And they were the only dealership willing to move off of msrp.
