I think he was playing with you, I just sold my 01 TC88 and my motor was professionally built, bored to a 95 , ported , polished , D & D pipes ,throttle body bored and polished , high compression pistons , cams and so on over 100 trq and hp, compared to a 103 it would jump out of the hole quicker and walk from them , but if they were up and going like you stated I would run them down but it would take a little bit to do it , I don't see with the mods you made you running them down , on my 2011 103 I did cams , pipes ,air cleaner and race tuner and am turning 108 torque 99hp but it's where the power hits, I'm over 100 torque at 2500 rpm's, if I did the mods to it that I did to my TC88 no telling what numbers I'd show

I ride with several guys on 103's, and my 88 was just having a heck of a time keeping up. So with help from this forum and the good friends at Fuel Moto, I made the decision to do a stage 1 upgrade consisting of SE a/c, Jack Pot Dyno Tuned slip ons, and the Power Commander V retrofit. I could tell the difference just by riding it (VERY happy) and if FM's dyno sheets are to be believed, the mods put my 88 in the neighborhood of a stock 103.
However, my best friend who rides a stock 2011 FLHX 103 seemed very skeptical. Without being rude, he implied that he didn't see how slip ons, an air cleaner, and a "little black box" plugged into the computer could make much difference. So we rode together yesterday for the first time since my upgrade.
When a light turned green, he looked over at me and said, "Try to keep up" and he was gone. He had the jump on me so I not only had to KEEP up but CATCH up. I wish I had a picture of his face when I caught him passed him!
I know, I know. Every rider's different. That's not a scientic test. It wasn't two professional riders on a closed course. Blah Blah Blah. I'm just saying that when we stopped for lunch I asked him straight up if he was giving it everything he had and he said yes, he was, but that he demanded a rematch. The rematch never happened but the point is, whether my little 88 is making as much power as a stock 103 or not, it at least put me into the margin of rider error/skill and I CAN KEEP UP.
If you're on the fence about a Fuel Moto stage 1 upgrade, DO IT.
the bike pulls strong right up to its new 6200 RPM rev limit and feels like it could keep going! And this is NOT a paid endorsement. Just a happy customer.

Ok no pop for some dif cams, some 95 pistons, get the cylinders punched out to 95, throw on some new 96 ci heads and 30 thousands head gaskets and a retune. That "88" will be giving 110s fits and 103s even with AC, pipes and tune won't have a chance.

Rat is right RPS. I have a second bike that is my fun bike. Its an 05 electraglide classic punched out to 95ci with a bunch of SE race parts installed. 110s are left in the dust (even with pipes ac tuner etc) from a standing start. At a 50mph+ punch in whatever gear i still win to 120 but its a lot closer. Smaller displacements rev a lot faster so they get to the hp quicker. My 88 is almost more fun because even if i get beat they wanna know what that 88 is packin. It defiantly has surprised a few people.
