Default rear caliper removal issue??

on my 2010 EGC I need to replace the rear tire. manual says to remove the two screws to release the caliper from bracket (did that) and remove caliper from bracket (will not come off). The caliper hits the inside of the wheel and will not come off, do I need to remove the pads for extra clearance? Is there something else I am not doing?

Yeah it's tight, if you twist the caliper on the rotor to collapse the pistons it should have clearance to remove

Like DPete says twist the caliber. I took mine off last week to clean the pads (had on on them from a leaking shock) and it hit the wheel. Twisting the caliber gave more play between the pads and the rotor and gave me enough to slip the caliber off although it still hit the wheel.

Unscrew the pin that the brake pads slide on (pull the retaining pin first) and drop the inside pad. The caliper will roll right out . Cecil
