I keep an extra headpipe on hand so I can gut it for my friends buying new bikes. I've done quite a few of these for people.

PM sent...I think. I'm trying to do this from my Android phone here at work. Things don't always work right though.

I have also gutted mt cat and cut it like JC Turbo did and buffed the welds down to where you could not tell it had been welded back. The heat shields cover the welds. I kept my original pipe and went to the dealer where i bought my Limited and they gave me a take off pipe from a bike that they added aftermarket exh on before the owners took delivery. They would not take any money for the pipe. I have the screamin eagle mufflers and they have a deeper sound now but not loud at all. I am pleased with it. The bike runs better and much cooler.

I have a 2010 Ultra Classic,Wife is screaming about the excess heat, came from the dealer with big sucker intake, race tuner, and SE fatShotz mufflers. I then did the SE 103 kit. With this combo, I would assume that retuning would be in order???

I have there bomber style mufflers and can say the workmanship is outstanding. I am considering ordering the headpipe for my 2010 RKC since I dont have a welder.

You could always cut the pipe, take the cat out then take the pipe to a local muffler shop and have them weld it. I bet it would only cost you $15 at the most.
