i have a 2012. decided to take the cats out to cut down on the heat. i have a buddy at a shop doing the wielding for me. i have a few questions about reinstalling:

i marked my O2s, top and bottom... is there a trick to installing them? or do i just twist the wires in reverse five turns so the wires unwind when tightening them into the pipe?

Just unplug them on top, before removing them from the pipe, much easier

Got a scare yesterday while cruising, my check engine light came on....oh wow! Only thing I could think of was the cats are removed.....but I have over 5K miles since the gutting and one would think it would have already came on by now.
I changed directions and when straight to the dealer arriving at 4:30 pm. They took me straight in and advised it was my cruise control out and installed a new switch!

Pulled my header off and had the Cat removed today. i get the header back tomorrow. once i get it back together, ill put a video up on how she sounds

 

I have the 07 Ultra. What are the differences? What do I need to do to pull my cat? Is it the same procedure?

That is a hell yeah! I am gona tell my wife I am doing it tomorrow. That means I can sit in the garage with a 12 pack for a few hours and listen to some football while they do the Christmas decorations! Woohoo!
