Default Dumped the bike this morning.......

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Rode the Ultra to work this morning. Pulled into the parking lot and attempted to make a sharp right turn to back it into a parking lot spot and it tipped over. I went over onto the pavement. No damage to bike or me, the helmet took a beating though, time to start putting them little stickers on it!
This answers my question of whether or not I am going to take the saddlebag guards and highway bar off the bike! It rolled over onto them. Small little scratches on the bottom of the bars, nothing else.
Incredible!
Also, if you have a choice don't dump your bike at work. The news got to everybody before I made it through the front door! The razzing is brutal!

You must have been able to get the bike back on the wheels by yourself OK. If you would have had to ask for help, the razzing may never end.

Did you by any chance put on the front brake while performing this sharp right turn?

Don't ask me how I would know of such a thing happening.

Just don't ask.

Welcome to the club.. If you haven't dumped a bike, you will.
I totally agree with NOT using the front brake when the bars are turned. You can get away with it with a smaller bike, but not a bagger. After riding un-bagged bikes most of my life, it takes a conscious effort to use the rear brake only.

Good to hear you and the bike are OK. Yes, the ego can take a beating with an event like this. I feel pretty good, I have dropped the Ultra once on each side - just so it is balanced out.
