Oh, and don't then let it fall on Tiny's (300+ lbs.) bike. Did I just tell that story?

I let mine fall over in my own garage, and could'nt get the thing back up. I had to go in and ask my wife to help. Talk about razzing! But the guards did protect all the painted parts really well.

Glad you weren't hurt! On that helmet - probably wise to replace it. They lose a lot of strength when you ding 'em.

I did a group ride last weekend and one of the motorcylce cops came wheeling into the parking lot and dumped his the same way. The crowd went crazy!! It happens to everyone eventually.

Glad to hear you are ok...speaking of having the bike turned to the right and grabbing a handful of brake....was leaving "Famous Daves" BBQ joint a week ago.....car stopped to let car in front of me and myself out..halfway into the turn car in front jams on brakes...no choice but to hit brakes myself..the King wanted to drop right down......I have no idea how I kept it from falling but my legs and hips for the past week have been telling me how........youch

I disagree.........I have been on bikes for 25 yrs and have NEVER dropped one......I read guys "forgot" to put the stand down or this thread for instance.....Its like getting out of your cage while its running, leaving it in gear and walking away...... How does one "forget"?? ......Lack of experience? drunk? brain fart? I know I will get flamed and my intention isnt to be an *** but if you cant handle the bike in tight spaces done drive it into one......

Don't ask me how I would know of such a thing happening.

Just don't ask.
Don't ask me what happens when you're making a sharp u-turn to the left and grab the front brake either.

Secret to slow sharp turns, drag rear brake, work clutch and throttle.
