Default Bassani +p bagger stepped true-duals system with power curve

Well...went to order these today but my discount won't kick in for another 30 days (long story)... gives me time to rethink... anybody have these? I had monster ovals on my road king and find that the Bassani's sound deeper.. my dilemma is that my wife doesn't like extremely loud pipes and I've only heard these on a bike at idle and being rev'd to 3K rpms..

Anyone have experience w/ these? My setup will be on an '11 Road Glide Ultra.. going w/ the above setup to negate the cat... also getting the screaming eagle air cleaner and harley race tuner .. dyno for a bit to create a good map..I just fear I will have all of that done and then the pipes be too loud for my lovely wife!!!

Thx for any advice...

Wayne

Did you buy the Bassanis? I've had them on my SG since new in 06. I've been very happy with them, love the sound. My wife rides with me and she's fine with the noise level. Although I've had one or two riders behind me tell me they're loud.

I've got those same mufflers on a set of V&H headers (basically the same setup). I bought the quiet baffles for them and it toned them down to exactly the sound I wanted. I also put the Heavy Breather on but never did a map or anything. She's not a screamer but she runs like I want and sounds the way i want her to.

I have them and they sound good. My wife doesn't like the tin sounding pipes. I like them not to loud to me and my buddy has them and his don't annoy me.

are those the pipes that block the oil and tranny dipsticks? or have they changed the design?

Had that set up on my 2007 Electra glide and loved it. Bassani makes quality plus performance,

Just put on bassani powercurve headpipe with rinehart slipons with heavy breather and super tuner dynoed. Good low growl at low speeds, barks like a bigdog when you roll on hard throttle. Love the sound it gave my 07 streetglide.

I had those head pipes on my '07 King with their 4" mufflers and loved them. Not overly loud but I could set off car alarms if I wanted to. No complaints from passenger or riders behind me either.

This set has a more traditional set of headers without that curve that goes over the tranny. That's the reason I went with the V&H headers when I got my Bassani's cuz Bassani was still only going with that curved header.

My oil dipstick is accesible, don't have a tranny dipstick.
