I've got a pair of Chippewa engineer boots that I like, but they are not very comfortable if you have to walk much. I've started wearing a "Swat" type boot that happens to be made my Danner, it is also a "Gortex" boot. Great for walking (light weight), waterproof, black and offers good protection.

I agree with emwolb, I just wear my Wolverine work boots, model 2580 I think. Gore-tex, composite toe, black 6", comfortable on the bike and off. I wear mine all day, every single day and usually replace every couple of years. Bought a pair of HD boots after I got my bike and they only lasted a few months (blowout on the side). Took them back to the dealer where I purchased them to see about getting a warranty replacement and they said they would have to send them in to the manufacturer to determine warranty eligibility..Really?! For a $120 pair of boots? I figured they would give me a new pair and deal with the return themselves. Oh well, I learned my lesson: Don't buy crap HD boots. Sorry for the rant, hope that helps..
