I am thinking about getting an Iphone or any other type of smart phone to get
a radar weather app. I use them in my desktop computer all the time
and I think for us bikers it would be great to go around the bad weather or even wait
for it to pass.

Who is uisng these apps and which app are you using and which phone do you have?

 

I use them on my Droid. Works fine.

 

My Weather Channel app is probably the most used app on my Iphone this time of year in Oklahoma. I'm looking to get a droid soon and will get the same app for it.

I am asking about the RADAR function in specific. Not the temperature and weather report

 

My I-Phone (AT&T) came with the Yahoo app.
I added the Weather Channel - it is free.

Best app though is Pandora Radio. Rode to (and from) Thunder Beach this past week and Pandora Radio was terrific! Except those areas where there is no signal.

As a side note, say a prayer for those folks in Alabama who are suffering fron the tornado. We got lucky and stopped for the night before it came through. The damage visible fron I-65 is BAD! Tuscaloosa was hammered.

Uh huh...I have an app that is just radar. Has different settings so you can see satellite image, map image, or overlay of both. Also can change the radar picture to base return, cloud cover, etc. I think it was 0.99 cents.

 

I use Accuweather and MyRadar, both with the iphone 4. Really nice to be able to keep up. Especially in springtime Oklahoma.

 

The weather channel app on my iPhone has radar and it works pretty good. Tells me what I need to know.
