Default 2011 Road Glide - No throttle - Limp Mode?

I have a 2011 RG Custom. 103, Vance & Hines Power Duals, SE Tuner, SE Stage I air cleaner kit. All dealer installed.

About the third time i started it i had to crank it over a long time - 2-3 seconds - and when it started the throttle was dead. Let it idle for a few minutes and the throttle started working normal again.

Been fine since until this weekend....

I have about 800 miles on it and was out this past saturday, stopped for gas and the same thing happned again - Cranked for a long time 2-3sec - once it started idled fine but the throttle didnt work at all. This time it didnt fix its self. Tried turning the bike on and off several times and nothing. Finally got the tool kit out. and disconnected the battery for a minute hooked everything back up fired right up and everything was fine.

Any ideas on what would cause it?

Thanks for the help.

Pull the codes and post them here. The procedures are outlined in this thread:

Could be faulty TPS...no brainer - return to dealer for warranty repair. No need to tear into it & make things worse. Let the dealer take a look.

I have no problem taking it to the dealer. I'm curious what it might be. I've been wrenching on cars and toys my whole life. The fly by wire is a bit out of my level of experiance.

Pull the codes - no way of even getting a glimmer of the situation without those.

That's why you should take it to the dealer. Some things I can work on and some I cant. I have learned to know when to ask for help and since it's under warranty make them fix it.

Since you didn't mention any check engine light flashing at you, call the dealer to have them plug it in while you wait. In the past the new twist grip has had some issues, but I suppose it's something simple.
