Default V&H power duals and monster rounds

I just added V&H power duals and monster rounds to my 2011 Electra Glide Classic and they have a very nice deep sound. They are louder than I hoped for and I hope I didn't make that 500 dollar mistake with the monster rounds part. I guess I’ll put some miles on this weekend and see what happens.

I thought the same thing when I installed mine, but my first ride was with a full face helmet on a cold day. The following ride was a warmer day and a 1/2 helmet, it's perfect..Very mellow unless you really twist on it.

I've got Monster Ovals and Power Duals... and I think they got slightly louder after a couple thousand miles. But, not too loud.

Nice! I just posted a thread yesterday about a similar set up...I was looking at the power duals and monster ovals....also like the rounds. Interested to see if you think they are too loud or not?

They sound like a V/8 at idle and great at 70mph,but around 50mph I get a bit too much low rumble.I wear a 3/4 helmet, that might be the problem.Although I am getting more used to them every ride.

The power duals are great and very much needed to remove the hot cat inside the headers. It's the monster rounds part I'm not sure of. They look great and sound great but there a lot louder then the stock setup for sure. When you get on it you will be heard and that part I like. I just not sure if I like the amount of sound they make at cursing along and never running over 3,000 RPM's. I'm going to give them some time and see what happens maybe they will grow on me. I may replace the mufflers but I will keep the headers for sure.

I have the same setup on my RGU - the sound is great, but the best part is reduced heat on the right side.
