Thumbs up Cool GPS featuer find. HD waypoints.

A couple months ago I finally got the Garmin zumo 660 and downloaded thr POI loader and all the North American HD shops. I have 2 other Garmin's, a 750 and a 1490, both nuvi's. My bike has been down since last weekend waiting to get new EIII rear installed along with brakes tomorrow. Drove my truck to the closest dealer yesterday for 3 sets of brake pads and got to wondering if I couldn't download the HD shops on my 1490. Well I just did!!! Just thought I would post in case anyone else wanted to do this. Ya might need to make space on your GPS but that is easy enough.

Where did you find the download and cost???? I've got the HogMe app on my phone but it would be nice to have something like that on the bike when in a new area and need something quick.

Dave817 is a HD store master of sorts. He posted a complete US/Canada .gpx file on POI Factory. We both verified each store's location, one by one. It's nice to not only have a file that's updated about once/yr, but to know you'll find a store there when you choose one.

No, it will be in your extras menu. When you turn on the GPS hit where to, scroll down to extras and select POI. That is of course after you download the POI loader. You first need the POI loader then can download the shops. It may be found on here somewhere but I got it at www.zumoforums.com but you need to register there first which is no big deal. You could also Google zumo POI loader. I also got the HD folder with the North American shops from zumoforums. Folks are real friendly and helpful on there so don't be afraid to ask stupid questions. Ask me how I know.... You may be able to go there and search without registering but won't be able to post questions until you register. If ya need help PM me but what I gave so far is how I did it.
