Simple no cut wire mod 4 high w/ passing lamps

BAD IDEA !! That is a thin wire does not carry much current being just a switched source and is not designed to carry the load. You need a thicker gauge wire to carry the current like the low or high beam power source or run a relay using that wire as switched and the load carrying power wire thicker directly to the battery fused.

Too much. Still need a thicker gauge wire. Halogen headlight is 4.5 amps just as much. That thin wire power source is good for the Kuryakyn LED trim ring thou. You wouldn't run power to the cigar lighter switch which is the same gauge, now would you?

According to the National Electrical Code, lighting fixture table 402-5, 18 gage wire is good for 6 amps. The spots should be less than 4 amps. You could always pull a wire from your accessory switch to power the spot light switch. I did this on my 97 HD about 12 year and 100,000 miles ago and have not had aproblem.

Why would you assume I drive with my high beams on in the daytime? Are you familar with English? Did I ever say I drive with my high beams on in the day? For your information the spots with high beam is for night time on dark back roads to try to avoid deer. Maybe you never drive after dark, but most of us do. Most of the newer bikes have a switch on the left handelbar to turn on low beams when there is on-coming traffic.
