Default Anyone using the "new" 2up tour pak QR mount.

I've searched and have not found this specific question.

I bought a TP with the older detachable mount. Before I put the ugly 4 point mounting system on I'm wondering if I should go with the newer version mount.
My question is, do you find any weakness having the bulk of the TP sitting that far back from the rear pins.

I'm putting this on an '02 Road king if that makes a difference.

I'm guessing from the lack of response, it shouldn't be a problem.

The newer 4 point mount is for 09+ touring bikes. The old mount is for 08 and below bikes. You need to get the docking hardware for 08 and below if you haven't already.
Did I understand your question correctly?

This is the mount I'd like to use. The HD site says 53276-04 is for use with am '02. It just looks like the bulk
of the weight is too far back
from the rear pins. I have the older version that uses 53804-06 but I'd prefer not to add those mounting pins to the back of the bike if it's not nessasary. I'm just wondering how well the newer version works. I hope that's a little clearer.

53276-04 is the part number for the tourpak rack. it is used in conjunction with 53804-06 (mounting hardware) for your bike. so you would need both.

so, no, your question is still confusing....

Actually, that answers my question. Originally, I thought that mount used the same mounting hardware as the seatback/luggage rack.

what about the milwaukee bagger tour pack set up? It uses the back rest mount and eliminates the hoops that sit too far back in my opinion. Anyone use this one?
