Default Driver Backrest Bracket - Mustang WideTripper

Hey folks,

I just bought the Mustang Wide Tripper (with driver backrest) for my 2006 FLHRCI, and I can't seem to find where to get the dang bracket to mount the driver backrest. Mustang tried telling me it was built into the seat....uh....error, nothing built into the seat. I can see the brackets they use when you buy just the driver backrest from them, but I'm having no luck finding JUST that bracket.

I've emailed Mustang to see what other answers I can get, but I figured I'd throw something on here as well and see if anyone had any ideas since they're closed for the weekend now.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine is just a slot in the seat, no bracket.

I've got a slot, but the post on the backrest doesn't appear to have anywhere to actually "mount", it basically just sits there. I'll post some pics of what I have and see if maybe there's something else missing here.

The slot in the seat is an internal channel for the backrest to slide into... it is the "mount" but it is a slide in type.

Here's a shot of the seat and backrest I've got, I've got to be missing something really obvious here, because when I place the backrest in the slot there's nothing there to actually hold it in place.

It looks like your seat is the type that doesn't have the built-in backrest. You need the separate mount. You can use either HD it Mustang mount. It attaches to your fender.
