Thanks to the new OEM oil pump, late models are less susceptible to oil blow by. S&S reed valve and Doherty Myst Free are two products designed for this issue. I've heard others say you can pull a plug, from the crankcase I believe, to see how much oil comes out, that is a good indicator of "sumping", and may suggest a mis-alignment, sealing problem, or some othe malfunction with the oil pump.

The 07 RK I bought in jan. was doing the same thing. The oil level was too high and they had an A.M. filter on it. Put the correct filter on and put oil in the crankcase just below the full mark and the problem was solved. I think it was the oil level too high more than the filter.

Many who have had this problem say not to fill it so full. Try running a half qt. low.

Half quart low cured my blow by problem. Also reduced oil consumption. Now only put in 3 1/2 quarts when I change the oil.

not good to run oil level down they make some fixes like the Dorety. Drill the return oil holes in the top of the rocker boxes to a 43 drill bit and worked like a charm for me. Also just clean the air filter more often will work for most. Many wait until 5k to clean a air filter??????

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it's recommeded to clean paper air filters. They are replace only.

mine did the same thing. I fixed it.

remove the a/c drill and tap then plug the oil bleeds into the a/c from the front. then drill and tap the top of the same oil bleed lines on the back of the a/c. install 1/4 ip x hose barb, tee the 2 sides together then routed up under the tank. to the back of the bike. I used a y fitting to creates a catch for any oil blow by that is plunged on the bottom and the branch is looped hi then vents to the bottom of the bike. i did this a few thousand miles ago. i got tired of wiping up the oil, my hayabusa was vented like this

I have the same bike and air cleaner.......run your oil right between the marks on the dipstick and it will go away.......Thats the recommended operating range for the oil so its not "low"

If you ran 4QT's in the crankcase that 1/2QT to much it only calls for 3 1/2 QT's
