I had the KW + 2s, and I got rid of them last winter ,and got 12" apes, hands are right in the air pocket just over the speakers.
I figure if you are going to do the job, and you have to change cables anyway why not just go with an even more comfy setup to start with?

Finally ordered and installed the Sweppers +2, and went for about 175 miles yesterday. I think I made the correct choice, they feel good and it almost feels like the bike is easier to handle. The only issue I can forsee is the width of the bars, but I'm sure I'll get accustomed to this as well. Thanks again to those of you who posted pictures and info to make my choice easier.

It is easier to handle, now you have wider bars, so you have more leverage, enjoy 'em.

Yes, in a somewhat normal position they will render the fairing mount mirrors useless. You can rotate the bars all the way down and get some visibility but I found the position a liitle uncomfortable. Got to find a different mirror solution.

Yes, but check with rocknrod here on the forum. He put different fairing mirrors on and can see and likes the mirrors. Or do what captsam54 did and add a set of cool mirrors on top of the fairing mirrors. You would need the 300515's for bars and a 38649-08 clutch cable for your scoot and that is all you'd need should you decide on this route.
