No radios in 2012 touring models?

I have n=heard of other companies having similar issues with chips and other electronics coming from Japan. I am actually looking at getting a 2012 because they will have a color I REALLY want, but the intercom and radio system is integral to the two up riding experience on the bike. I would not buy one until I could get one with the system installed.

They also offered a Zumo GPS and a satellite radio, an approximate $900 value for no cost, with free installation when the HK's became available. All of this is only a possibility. I understood from the advisory panels questionaire that the lack of a radio was not a sure thing as of this time. If I was in the market I'd accept the satellite radio deal.

I work for a semiconductor manufacturer. The earthquake has severely affected our production schedule. Lead times for some products has been pushed out 3 or more months. Our competition is in the same situation. Everything from consumer electronics to industrial products are affected by parts shortages. What's unfortunate for Harley is the Harmon Kardon stereos impacts touring models, the company's top seller.
