Reach Seat Comfort
#4

I got one while deciding what to do with the bars on the UC - for my 5'9" height and 32" inseam, it puts me a very natural angle for the footboards.
The wife can't tell the difference from the stock UC seat, except that she has more room between the two of us.
You certainly wont be scooting forward and backwards with the reach - it pretty much pins you in-place.
Many will gripe that they felt trapped, or like they were riding the tank... For me, the additional knee bend gives me much better footing to move the beast, and takes some of the back/shoulder pain away.
I'll still likely go for KW +2 Sweepers, though the local indy says "Apes are where it's at, especially for us old and broken riders" ... his shop foreman, however, doesn't like the look of apes on baggers... If I go that route, it absolutely has to keep my hands behind the batwing !
Good luck in your choice !

Both are now way more comfy - both push me a tad forward and allows me to flat foot. But I find the reach seat way more comfy, and have been using it primarily. I have yet to take any long ride yet, as the season has not been cooperating weather wise....
But with my reach seat, I feel like I did when I sat on my RSV.

Did the new seat really allow you to get your feet firmly on the ground? Kenpocowboy, you and I sound about the same size. I do find myself sliding forward at stops to get my legs close enough together to firmly reach the ground. Good to know that I may be able to stop doing that.

Yes, with the stock seat, I was flat-footed, but had little to no bend in my knees. Parking/backing up was a royal PITA - especially with any grade at all.
Now, I have enough bend in the knees to handle things much better.
In addition to pushing your down and forward, the nose of the seet is much more narrow - which will bring your legs closer to the bike, which gives you another little bit of stability/reach.
