Right around 3000 Revs at 80MPH in 6th gear sounds normal to me.
Cant comment on gas mileage, though.
Headed for 5 bucks a gallon I wish it were like 100 miles per gallon, or so.

The O2 sensor is like a battery and generates it's own voltage in a narrow range of .2-.8 volts. The ECM takes this voltage and translates it through it's programming and VE tables to a target AFR in closed loop. I think it does nothing more than take whatever voltage the O2 sensor is sending and lowering it by a fixed amount. Lower voltage is leaner (in this case a false reading created by this add on device) so if the ECM sees lower voltage it will add more fuel to achieve it's target AFR. Therefore the ECM would be fooled into adding more fuel.

Here is a real good write-up explaining how a Lambda sensor actually works.

You are correct, Sir. Steve at Nightrider explained it to me just like that. It is a voltage level deal. By creating a "low voltage" situation, the computer adds fuel to compensate.

Darn things work great!

Yep, you now have so much more power that your clutch is slipping !

Or, you burnt off so much rubber on your rear tire from the additional power that you changed the diameter, hence the higher revs !

Anyone else have a better answer?

07 and 08 are geared higher in the primary why they are 2800 at 80mph.
