Default Ape Hangers for an 07 Road King

I want to put 16s on my king. I have read on here that some bars are actually different than what they are listed as. I have also read about HCC and Demon as not to great with the whole process. Is there any 1 place to get the whole package together without ordering piece by piece? Any help would be appreciated. If the bars are a little higher than what they are listed as I need to go to 14s instead. Want to make sure I stay legal. I am 5'11, ride with a stock seat. Tried a different seat already, no go. Looking for comfort while staying legal and I think the bike will look better. If you have a pic of you on your bike and around the same height please post.

I have Wild 1 16" bars on mine. Don't have a picture of me on the bike but I'm 5'10" and I certainly wouldn't have gone with shorter bars. These are about perfect for me.

Check these out, it is looking like they are getting out of the bar part of the business, but they have a good product.

Bill03E....it's just a little distracting when you write "Check these out" right below your avatar!!!! As if you'd have to tell us!!

I have 16" Harley apes on my 08 King. I'm 5'9" and couldn't be happier with the fit. Look great and has made my king a much more comfortable ride. My local HD new what to order for the job so I didn't have to hunt down all the parts needed.

I have 14" Wild1s Chubbies- they are true to spec. I have ordered 2 complete sets of bars/ cables from Hill Country Cycle and can highly recommend their "kits"- they have great service- they know what they are doing. Guys I ride with that have ordered from they agree. You can specify whatever brand bars if you want and they will kit it up. Sometimes they are alittle hard to get hold of- their biz is growing fast....

HCC uses Motion Pro cables- a bunch of us like those cables better than the other $$$ ones because they look better. I asked for a +2" master brake line cause it looks better a little longer.

I'm 5'7 and the 14"s are perfect and about 3" below my shoulders.
