I got 60,000 + miles on it already I've been ridding ssome hot summers. from all over california, Nevada, arizona Utah all the way to sturgis and back and back again this cooler never quit on me. while almost all my buddies bike overheated and die. also the fan is temperature control it only runs when the temp. goes somewhere 220 . around 230s and higher it will run full speed, and slow"s down when engine temps go lo.you can also by pass the sensor if you like ,by using a on and of switch. this is a must with sup up engine.there is some out there ,maybe better than this one. but for the money well spend.

have the Ultra Cool for 3 years now, work on the south side of Chicago and live in northwest Indiana before if I got stuck in a jam on I94 the bike would heat up and would get some valve clatter whey I would give it gas with the Ultra Cool on I have not had that happen, 2 of my buddys have now put them on with the same results, as far as how many miles, I have a 05 and put it on summer of 07 with 19K on the bike now have 48K on the bike and leaving next week for 2 weeks and 4000 miles only problem so far is I put new hoses & clams on this winter was getting a small spot on the floor

I'm still not sold on the Ultra cool, I ran a Jagg 10 row low mount on my last bike with the bigsky fan kit and it worked great, my 103 2011 came with the Harley cooler so we will see how it does, do a search of the Ultra cool oil cooler and you will see the guys with the trikes started running them first and have had plenty of failures and they continue to have them, when I bought the 2011 I was going to buy one now that they released the new model relocating the temperature censor but then talked to some of the trike members, there have been many failures of the nipples on the cooler that the hoses attach to breaking, you can pull it off and get it brassed back on but you want know it till you start losing oil

Been reading all the threads for awhile and just ordered the ultracool on Fri, will post how it works out. BTW no more $350 units left, but if you buy from Dr V Twin you can get it for a discount. I believe it will be great, as stated before if the bike is always moving its not hard keep oil cool, but when you are in traffic, you need to move air. Think of a car and radiator concept.
