~~ 70900070 Speedo Tach Combo ~~
I just picked up the new HD 70900070 Speedo/Tach Combo. It just arrived from Zanotti Motor Co the other day, and got it installed a few days ago.

Zanotti seemed to have the best price on them.

The new unit will come with a "Data Transfer Cable" that will allow you to transfer your current miles over to the new unit. You plug the data cable into #91 Data Link on the bike next to the computer, and the other end into the new unit, turn the ignition to the run position and the transfer takes about 10 seconds. It will display the percent of the transfer while it occurs. Once the new unit reads "OK" you turn off the ignition, unplug the data cable from the #91 Data Link and from the New Unit too, and then install the new unit on the chrome bezel on top of the gas tank, and plug it into the original wiring harness that is on the bike.
Pretty much a "plug and play" kind of deal.
They give you a Ka-Trillion Color Choices for the face itself, and speedo needle and tach needle too.
Here are a few pics, sorry a few are out of focus

It looks brighter in that picture. I shut the lights off in the garage and took the picture. It's actually perfect at night. Yes, it will also show what gear your in, depending on what screen you have on.
It won't show all of that stuff at one time though.
It shows allot of things:
*Gear Shift Position Indicator
*Odometer
*Trip A and B
*Fuel Gauge
*Clock
*Distance to Empty
I think thats all, but I could have forgotten some

Installed the very same unit in my GF's Deluxe after Santa left it under the tree. Pretty straightforward install with the only struggle with the rubber ring around the actual speedo unit. Fits any 5 inch console but is sold as Model Specific.
I personally am skeptical that the Tach gauge is really of any use since its so small but the GF wanted all the "pretty colors" and such so..........
The "gear indicator" bases its number on the rpms and "estimates" which gear you are actually running. Hmmmmmm.
