Amsoil Series 2000 Gear-Lube 75/90...In the gear box?
Wondering if anyone is using this? I have several quarts and instead of spending the $ on syn3 thought I might try it. I use amsoil in the crank with good results so why not? It is a darker grey/green colour, should be easier to see on the dipstick I would think. Opinions?

Are you saying this is a oil made for Motorcycles? Myself, and a lot of the guys I ride with use Amsoil 20/50 in all 3 holes and have for a lot of years. I cant recall any of us ever having any kind of oil related problems. I would like to know more about this Amsoil 2000 series oil and it's applications.

castrol syn gear lube 75w90
i put castrol 75w90 in my tranny 2009 ultra, my whinney 5th gear is quieter, biggest thing I notice is how clean the oil is when i change it. the harley syn usually comes out black. also there is almost nothing on the magnet with the castrol compared to a lot of shavings with the harley syn. gears need gear oil simple.

Hello to group, just wanted to let ya'll know about this and this experience with Amsoil.I was running Amsoil 15-40 diesel oil in our 2003 W-900 Kenworth. While driving down the hwy the oil pump shaft broke, looked like it was cut with a surgical saw.Anyway the driver drove the truck about three miles before he noticed 0 oil pressure, oil alert didn't go off: fuse was blown, when he noticed he pulled off,and we got it back to our shop. When we pulled the pan we expected the worst, but all we had to do was replace the shaft. The main's,and rod bearings were fine,we pulled one rod bearing cap to inspect, and it didn't even look like it got hot.So what you hear about Amsoil is no BS,I use it in everything that I own.
