i am going to sell my exhaust off my 2010 flhtk. it has 3000 miles on it. looks almost new. i put on dresser duals and monster ovals. even if i switch the ovals someday, cant see ever going back to the stock headpipe.

will sell on ebay. do you think i should sell as complete system (headpipe, mufflers and heat shields) or sell the three components separately?

I bought a set of headpipes and heat shields for 35 bucks last year.

you might get more for the mufflers.

Personally the way the EPA and States are going as far as noise ordinances and having factory pipes with EPA certs on them on the bike, I'd keep them for a rainy day

 

thought about that, but find it hard to believe that this first year of the cat would be included in the regulation , if ever passed. will take my chances i guess.

I agree with neggy. Thought they would never retro the smog checks on diesel trucks. They have gone back to 2003 here in Ca. A lot of people are really regretting selling/trashing their stock systems now. Ca. isn't the only state this is now happening in.

 

Sold mine as a complete set (header, shields & Rinehart pipes). Most people are going to want the header to possibly mod (remove CAT) and you don't want to have the shields & pipes laying around so...sell together...JMO.

 

How much for the complete system???

Sell them on ebay so us in the nanny law states (CA) can buy them as emission and noise laws are coming
