Thanks for the info.. I bought it through my dealer who I believe ordered it through Drag... I know there is a significant re-stocking fee if I don't like it. After watching a few YouTube clips on the seat, I'm feeling better about the purchase... I just want to ride comfortably!!! I'm hoping this seat is the answer....

PS - I did also add Wild One 10.5 inch mini apes so I should be able to find a good riding position (fingers crossed... it was a big bill for this work!)...

The stock seat on my bike had me feeling crowded up on the tank. Bought the Mustang Super Touring seat and it sat me back and down slightly. Much more comfortable.

Hey Guys,

I sent an email off to Mustang asking about this issue.... Here is their response....

"Greg, your new LowDown seat should sit you at roughly the same distance from the tank as the stock seat. Thanks!"

I'm probably going to be getting this seat as well with the backrest for my RK. I'm 5'11 and I can flatfoot the bike ok but with it being an 2011 the seat is lower than the 09's and 10's already. I'm getting it primarily because it will still drop me a little bit in the saddle and I just love the Mustang on my VTX. I'm thinking the seating position and the backrest will help move me just enough to help with the bars on the RK so that I'm not reaching for them.

But yes, some pics of the seat on the bike would be great!

I bought the Mustand Solo last year and I don't think it pushed me forward at all, but it did seem to drop me down a bit, maybe an inch. But it is so much more comfy than the OEM. I'm 6'0" and can flat foot just fine. However, I'm stretching for the handelbars, so that's the next mod.

Hope this helps.

Mike

I just traded emails with Allen at Mean City.... He said they are usually able to move Mustangs seating position back at least an inch.... Possibly more as they they haven't worked on this brand new seat yet. That really could make this the perfect seat for anyone having trouble flat footing a touring bike who doesn't want to straddle the tank (if you find that it does)... I can't wait to pick mine up (and the new scoot) next week!!! I'm going from on 05 Deluxe to a 2010 Road King... CAN'T WAIT!!!

Anymore reports on this seat for those that have installed it? OP did you keep the seat or return it?
