Default Crashed my SG

Before I start complaining... let me say pain is good, and thank goodness for helmets!!!
The wife and I started out on an afternoon ride, beautiful sunny day, had been on the bike only about five minutes. A lady pulled out of a parking lot into traffic and wham, I tried braking no use she was right there. We T-boned her, Lisa went flying into the car and over it, it through me backwards off the bike. After a couple of minutes of each of us screaming for the other, we found out each was ok. I've got a broken thumb a torn ACL, bumps and bruises, a little road rash. Lisa has cracked ribs, her pelvis area swollen and sore and her shoulder is pretty messed up also. The bike however not so lucky, the front end smashed, bent forks, bent rim, the bars coming down the front of the frame bent, front cylinder cracked, oil pump busted, fuel tank seam cracked, front motor mount busted, handle bars bent, crash bars bent. The pictures my son took yesterday don't do justice, I went to look at the bike and get stuff out of the bags, I almost got sick to my stomach. All this at about 20 - 25 miles an hour. We used to ride without helmets when allowed, never again, after bouncing off the street and car with only this... I'm a believer. Once the pain goes away, we'll be looking for a new bike, I'm thinking black denim this time, gotta stay with black, my 09 is vivid black... bent and scratched.

i'm glad you and Lisa are ok; I never leave home without a full face on--even when it hot as hell out.

I'm glad to hear you are ok. Good to keep a positive attitude. I hope the lady has insurance. Was she on a cell phone?

Angry Sorry to hear......

But glad you two will be ok.
What did "they" do to the woman who pulled out in front of you?
Lemme guess, they arrested her on the spot for negligent driving, attempted murder, which they eventually dropped to negligent attempted homicide, took her drivers license and administered a "wood shampoo"!
Oh no? They gave her a ticket?
Ah, ample punishment for almost killing two people.
NOT!

I'm glad to hear you're ok! I assume you both were wearing full faced helmets? Time to go get a 11' powerpack!
