The Mustang Lid protectors go on and off easily. I noticed some abrasion on the edges of my lids when I removed them, but was probably due to me sliding them around for a better fit.

I had the HD lid bras on my 06 Standard. They were easy to put on,had a snug fit and didn't leave and rub marks on the lid. Before I put them on I always put a good coat of wax on the lid for protection.I had them on on a trip to Sturgis in 07,that was 10000kms and no problems.

Wife likes to rest her heels on the rear crash guard, and it protects the lids.

I got them on my Street Glide and they are ok. I actually took them off in September just to get a different look but I'll be putting them back on again Since my Children step on the lid every so often when getting off the bike (The main reason why I bought them).

+1 on the Mustang Lid protectors. Easy to put on and never had an issue with them. They protect the lid from the wife and unseen forces of evil.

I have the RideTek LidHaulers with cinch straps for carrying duffels when I travel. I like them when I am not using the duffels but the straps take away from the look. I just might invest in a pair of plain covers for everyday use. I like the look.

+2 on the Mustangs. I take them off occasionally to change-up the look a little. Lids would take a beating without them. Got the RK black pearl version to match the seat. I was nervous putting them on for the first time. THey seemed too tight and like they were going to rip. I laid them in the sun on the hood of my black car for 1/2 hour and it helped.

I bought some back in 07 for my FLHT but took them back. I was worried the would flap around & do more damage to the paint than I could do. There is company I think something like Armor Protection that has a clear film that covers them.

Love my RideTeK's - have the plain (w/o bags) and they don't leave a mark. Extremely easy to install & saved the lids from quite a few "leg/foot draggers."
