Arnott used 6mm air hose on some of the older systems. It looks like 1/4 inch and it fits in the fittings but it will leak if you use 1/4 inch. If this is your problem, you can find 6mm hose at NAPA.

A couple of other things too. Do not forget to check the dump solenoid. It is ok to submerse it in water won't hurt anything. The other thing is there is a one way check valve where the air line is attached to the compressor. Very seldom have I seen this leak but it is just another possibility.

Ive seen the top seal dry out on bikes sitting for long periods. Jack the bike up , deflate system, push down on top of shock and apply a light coat of green grease to the shaft.

I have the arnott aldens they use the same dump valve I've had problems and it is always at the fittings to the dump valve The best way to find the air leak I found was to pump up the air above 70 lbs then spray with windex. then be patient and watch for the bubbles if its a small leak your looking for small bubbles. If the leak is around the threads dont use plumbers tape use thread sealant instead. sold at auto stores. hope this helps

Thanks for all the good advice... I'm outta town and won't be home until Monday. So next week I'll be running through the fixes listed above.

Regarding the "green grease" is that a brand name..?
