I ran the Monster Ovals without anything and it ran ok, except for the odd time it would ping a little and run a fair bit hotter. I added the Dresser Duals and Power vision w/ SE A/C. I guess it should run much better now.

Mufflers only is fine.

But changing the head pipe opens the flow up. I'm no expert but, the base tune on the bike has to take into account the constriction of the cat. converter.

Just removing the cat has to increase air flow significantly.

With No cat converter there is more volume of air that can go through pipes and mufflers
aftermarket air cleaner even more air will flow through the engine, making a lean condition
from the factory more lean. If there are no other engine modifications the lease you will
need is a down load, to fatten the lean condition. That being said, your best bet is do
some type of tuner, with a good dyno tune to get the best all around performance. Do it

If I opt for just slip on's now until I can do more, will the heat from the cat discolor the new slip on's? The V/H monster rounds state their blueproof, but I don't know how accurate that is. Thanks again for the help.

Maybe. Personally, I would do it anyway and be done with it.
