I have bought a few pairs from eyegearzone.com. They are the best price I could find. The new ones now come with a band that can be swapped out for arms. They have the option for clear or yellow tint. I believe they were about $70.
My Father-in-Law was an opticion and my wife did the dispensing, meaning putting lenses to frames and such. Because of them owning their business i got a lot of free glasses. I got transitions when they first came out years ago up through just a few years ago when he passed away. First, i like them but they do not get dark enough for me either. They get darkest on a cold winter day....not much help for riders. My last pair was in a pair of RECTECH frames which i now carry on the bike and use during the evening. They are actiated by the U.V. light vs. the light like photogreys so they won't get as dark as some. While they are good as an all around glass, I think many of you will find they do not get dark enough. Some will be ok but ALL will appreciate thier propeties at dusk and during the evening riding.
Good luck in your chioce. If you can swing it, get a pair of transitions and a regular tinted pair for those really bright days.
I tried a pair of Wiley-X transitions. They never got dark enough, and they stopped transitioning after about 10 months. Got the lenses swapped to polarized under warranty.
