Default Need help with Rear shock

I recently purchased a set of SG shocks I plan on using for my Limited. During shipping since the shocks weren't plugged the oil leaked out. No where in the HD manual does it say how much oil should be in the rear shock. It does have a note on the rear shock page that states..

Never lay the shock absorber down. Always keep the shock absorber upright to prevent oil from draining
out through the compression fitting. Any lose of oil requires replacement of the shock absorber.

I red a few posts here where some have changed the shock oil in their rear shocks so I know they don't need to be replaced. But since they partially drained during shipping I have no way of knowing the exact amount of oil needed to refill them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Default Plug them shocks!

I just never could understand anyone shipping a set of shocks that neglect to plug the lines to prevent this.
When I purchased mine off ebay I made sure to tell/ask the seller to take precautions several times to prevent this from happening..just saying!

Thanks 1flhtk4me for the link probably one of the links I didn't read when I searched. So the stock shocks have 10oz of oil. Has anyone with stock SG shocks or the lowered HD shocks know how much oil is in them? Or would both sets have the same amount of oil in them?

well after reading the whole thread id go with the 10oz as it seems thats the correct amount although you have to read between the lines to figure that out
