Default Detachable tour pak kit for Ultra

Does anyone know the part numbers or kit that give passenger head set hook ups when the tour pak is detached. In the instructions for the 53246-09a tour pak detach kit. It shows a optional push to talk harness but I can't find any part numbers for it.

Post the "J" number for the instruction sheet for what you have. It's located below the title of the instruction sheet: J0XXXX. With that number, I can take a look at what harness you mention.

In the meantime, take a look at the instruction sheet for this kit which includes what you want:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J04977.pdf

I have this kit on my bike because it allows use of the CB/Intercom by the passenger w/o the tour pak on the bike.

Also, you'll notice the "J" number in the above link. With the J number for your kit, I can replace the J number in that link with that from your kit and see the pdf instruction sheet for your kit.

It's page J04977 I just need the rear passenger hook up. That BOOm audio kit is $399. I don't need all the stuff for the front.

Okay, I see the parts you need. The switch assembly (PTT/vol switch plus harness w/ connector) is shown in the BAMI kit I listed, but the part is shown as "not sold separately" w/ no part no. given.

However, the switch housing, p/n 77110-09 (to attach a PTT/vol switch to the headset connector), is available, so you could make your own using HD parts if there is, in fact, no "optional switch assembly."

Good luck with your project.

Thanks
Seem odd that Harley would have a detach kit and a quick connect wire harness but have no clear way or kit to retain passenger head set hook ups. I'll be going to the dealer today to see if there is other options

Maybe they think because you're removing the passenger backrest you're also removing the passenger??
