RE: Part # question, 2000 EG rear fender, Birch White
Hi,
I got an itemized repair estimate from my insurance after my crash a month ago. They listed all the replacement parts needed including a front fender. They listed my front fender by the painted part #, but it was for a fender without pinstriping, which my fender did have. I called Chicago HD internet sales dept. for parts pricing and asked them why I couldn't find a finished fender with pinstriping. When they asked for my part # they told me that the paint code letters after my part # were wrong. They gave me the correct # and I was good to go. Call them at 1-888-338-6868, they are very helpful and have the best pricing on painted parts anywhere. Also get yourself a 2000 Touring models parts catalogue #99456-00A. Do a search for your model year on the HD Parts & Accessories site without the "A" after the "00" just to be sure that I haven't given you the wrong #.
Since HD parts don't change much over the years it may be a safe bet that this #59579-06 from my 06 parts catalogue MAY be what you need or it MAY be a starting point for you. I would just substitute the last 2 digits for your model year and add "AV" to the end. I believe this is your correct paint code.
