A guy post on Craigslist under Motorcycles in the Daytona, Jacksonville, St.Augustine Florida area that he will sell and install a factory color inner fairing for $300 . He says he can swap out your non painted for his painted fairing in an hour. My question to anyone that has used one of his fairings is was the painted fairing good quality and did it match the rest of the bike and did it ONLY take an hour ? I am thinking about using him.

I believe it takes almost 3 hours to do a switch of inner fairings.
But that's shop labor so they ain't in any hurry, if you know what I mean.

 

I just had mine painted. Took me 3.5 hours to remove and the same time to replace. I could do it in 3 hours each way but no less. Cover the fairing with duct tape around the forks before you install the passing lamp bracket or you'll scratch the fairing. Don't ask how I know this. I had mine painted at a local body shop for $236.

 

I wouldn't rush the install. Pay him extra to slow down if you have to.

A guy that used to work out of the dealer in JAX is doing my inner fairing this weekend. He has done two of the guys I ride with with OUTSTAANDING results.

 

One hour from start to finish? No friggin way! Not if it's done right.

 

One of the nice things about having a black bike. My inner fairing was painted to match the bike right from the factory.

 

I just saw the guys add as well. Did anyone get it done? I have a 04 road glide that im bringing back to life and the inner fairing is in rough shape.

 

Maybe Denim Black. Definitely not Vivid Black.

 

He did my Inner Fairing about 6 months ago, I am in Jacksonville. Was at the house 10 am on a Saturday and I was paying him by 11:30. He is extremely organized and set up with all the proper tools. He put a fender protector and a fuel tank protector on while doing the work. Laid out a think blanket on the garage floor and laid everything out very organized, neat and clean. It is one of the best mods I have done. I get compliments all the time. My bike is vivid black. Highly recommended. Not a blemish one I can see anywhere and trust me I looked. He has access to a paint both and a bake booth. Quality job. Do it, I am glad I did. If I would of stayed out of his way and not asked him as many questions he would of been done sooner.
